The working title for this show came about when I realized there was an unconventional aspect to the work of each of the artists featured in this show. Susan Gale’s landscapes are gently abstracted with a chunky pointillism. Elaine Heath’s oils are highly abstract representations of reality. Floyd Elzinga’s landscapes are fabricated in steel and rust. My own photography is presented in unusual ways, from being digitally hand-coloured and printed on aluminum to being printed, then painted over with watercolours. An interesting show. It opens tomorrow, the opening reception is 1-3pm. Perhaps I’ll see you there?
